Privacy Policy
How Lantern collects, uses, and protects your data.
1. Introduction
Lantern Technologies, Inc. ("Lantern," "we," "us," or "our") operates Agent Ready, an AI commerce readiness analysis platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
By using Agent Ready, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password.
- Payment Information: For paid subscriptions, billing is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card numbers or sensitive card data on Lantern servers. We receive and store limited billing metadata (customer ID, subscription status, billing interval) from Stripe as needed to manage your subscription.
- Communications: When you contact us, we collect the information you provide in your messages.
2.2 Information from Website Analysis
When you analyze a website, we collect publicly available information from that website, including:
- HTML content and page structure
- Schema markup and structured data
- Meta tags and Open Graph data
- Product information (names, prices, descriptions, images)
- Technical information (load times, mobile responsiveness)
2.3 Information from Connected Stores
When you connect your e-commerce store for sales tracking, we access:
- Order and transaction data (order IDs, amounts, timestamps, referrer information)
- Product catalog data
- Customer checkout information (limited to attribution purposes)
- Traffic and session data
We do not collect or store customer payment card information from your store.
2.4 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
- Log Data: IP addresses, access times, pages viewed, referring URLs
- Cookies: Session cookies for authentication, preference cookies for settings
- Analytics: Usage patterns, feature interactions, error reports
- Session Recordings: Recordings of user interactions (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling) to improve user experience. Text inputs and sensitive data are masked. Sessions may be linked to your account after sign-in.
2.5 Information About Shoppers on Stores That Use Lantern
When a store installs Lantern's pixel or script, we record visits to it so we can show which pages and products AI assistants send people to. For each visit:
- Approximate location and network: We look up the approximate location of the visitor's IP address (country, state or region, metro area and county) and the kind of network connection it comes from, such as a mobile carrier or a home broadband provider. We keep those derived details for 13 months. We do not store the visitor's IP address itself with the visit. Our hosting provider's own request logs keep a copy of it for 30 days, for security and troubleshooting.
- Engagement: On stores that install our script on their own pages, we record how much time a visitor spends on each page and how far down it is scrolled. Time counts only while the page is the open tab, and it pauses after 30 seconds without scrolling, tapping, clicking or typing.
- Purchases: When a purchase is recorded on a Shopify store, we receive the country of the shipping address and, for US addresses, the five-digit ZIP code. We receive nothing else from the address.
Stores that connect their Cloudflare logs to Lantern send us their own request logs, which include each visitor's IP address. We round each address down to the block it belongs to before we analyze it, so the records we work with do not identify a visitor's exact address. We keep the original log files, and the rounded-down records made from them, for up to 13 months.
